Flax fleece is made from the fibres of the flax plant and is therefore a natural fibre with maximum sustainability. A significant advantage of flax nonwoven is its biodegradability. Unlike synthetic materials, which often take years to decompose, flax decomposes naturally and leaves no harmful residue. This helps to minimise the ecological footprint and reduce the environmental impact. Another sustainable aspect of flax fleece is its low environmental impact during production. Flax is a plant that requires little water, fertiliser and pesticides. Compared to conventional cotton plantations, which often require intensive use of water and chemicals, the cultivation of flax presents itself as a more environmentally friendly alternative. This aspect helps to conserve resources and improve the ecological balance. Furthermore, flax fleece is particularly durable and resistant. The longevity of products is a key component of sustainability, as durable items need to be replaced less frequently and therefore generate less waste.
