In 1878, Adolf Wilhelm Keim laid the foundation stone for the company KEIMFARBEN with the invention of silicate technology, which today is characterised worldwide as a leading specialist in mineral building protection through sustainable problem solutions. Driven by tradition and inspired by visionary ideas, KEIM develops and produces exclusively mineral products and systems.
The idea of sustainability characterises the spirit of the company. In 1993, KEIM launches the world's first healthy-living interior paint and later receives the world's first natureplus certifications for interior and façade paints. In 2023, over 60 products receive Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver certification. The outstanding ecological profile of the products is reflected in the resource-saving production and natural raw material base, the product composition without the addition of solvents, preservatives and plasticisers, and the extremely long service life of KEIM paints.
KEIM has a global presence with around 500 employees and twelve foreign subsidiaries in all important markets in and outside Europe.
