HENSOTHERM® fire protection coating systems for wooden structures

The fire protection effect is based on a heat-insulating foam layer (stable carbon foam), which develops at temperatures from approx. 200 °C due to a fire and protects the coated components from overheating, ignition and ultimately loss of their structural load-bearing capacity for a period defined in the product approvals, the fire resistance class. During this time window, people and material assets can be saved from structures equipped with fire protection coatings. Due to their safety relevance, fire protection coatings are subject to a strict market approval procedure. Fire protection coatings protect human lives and preserve values.

In addition to excellent fire protection performance, HENSOTHERM® fire protection systems for wooden structures also have a long durability. The coatings are available for interior and exterior use and can be customized by using protective top coats in almost all RAL colors, or leave the wood visible in its natural color and emphasize the surface structure.
